This Privacy Policy outlines how Norrie Power Skating ("we", "our", or "the Company") collects, uses, stores, and protects the personal information of users who access our website at www.norriepowerskating.com ("Site"), register for our programs, or otherwise share personal information with us (collectively: "Users").

Processing of your personal information (meaning any information that may potentially allow your identification with reasonable means; hereinafter "Personal Information") is necessary to provide you with our services, fulfill our contractual obligations, protect our legitimate business interests, and comply with applicable Canadian privacy laws (including PIPEDA and applicable provincial legislation).

By registering for our programs or submitting information through this Site, you provide your knowing consent to the collection, use, and disclosure of your Personal Information as described in this Privacy Policy. Where we collect sensitive information — including health information and information about children — we will obtain your express (opt-in) consent at the point of collection, separate from any general terms of use. You may withdraw consent at any time, subject to legal or contractual restrictions, by contacting us using the details in "How to Contact Us" below.

We encourage our Users to carefully read this Privacy Policy to make informed decisions.

We collect two types of data and information from Users:

1. Non-Personal Information: Un-identified and non-identifiable information gathered via your use of the Site. We cannot identify you from this data. It may include aggregated usage information and technical data transmitted by your device (e.g., browser type, operating system, language preference, access time, pages viewed, clicks, and actions) to enhance Site functionality.
2. Personal Information: Individually identifiable information that identifies an individual or may with reasonable effort identify an individual. Such information includes:

Device Information: Geolocation data, IP address, unique identifiers (e.g., MAC address and UUID), and other activity-related data on the Site.

Registration Information: When registering for a camp, you are required to provide details such as: Parent or Legal Guardian's full name, Attendee's name (often a minor), physical address (including city/town and postal code), phone number, email address, gender, date of birth, and relevant personal medical information to ensure safety on the ice.

Waitlist Information: If a camp is full, you may opt to join a waitlist. We directly capture your name, phone number, and email address solely to notify you if a spot becomes available.

Minor Children: Some of the Personal Information we collect belongs to minor children registering for our on-ice training programs, including their name, date of birth, contact information, and relevant medical information (e.g., allergies or conditions our coaching staff should be aware of for safety purposes). We treat children's Personal Information as sensitive and apply heightened safeguards to it. This information is provided by, and requires the express consent of, the child's parent or legal guardian at the time of registration. We use children's Personal Information only for purposes directly related to program registration, on-ice safety, and communicating with the parent/guardian — never for marketing or advertising directed at the child. A parent or guardian may request access to, correction of, or deletion of their child's Personal Information at any time using the contact details below.

We do not rent, sell, or share Users’ information with third parties except as described in this Privacy Policy.

We may use the information for the following:

• Communicating with you – sending you notices regarding our services, providing you with technical information and responding to any customer service issue you may have;
• To communicate with you and to keep you informed of our latest updates and services;
• To serve you advertisements when you use our Site (see more under "Advertisements"); 
• To market our websites, services and products (see more under "Marketing"); 
• Conducting statistical and analytical purposes, intended to improve the Site.

In addition to the different uses listed above, we may transfer or disclose Personal Information to our subsidiaries, affiliated companies and subcontractors.

Norrie Power Skating utilizes Citrus Technology Inc. for our camp registration. When you register, information you provide is shared with Citrus Technologies Inc. and are subject to their own Privacy Policies as solely set and maintained at their discretion. In addition, Norrie Power Skating uses Stripe payment gateway. Any financial information you exchange when registering is subject to the Stripe Privacy Policies as outlined in their Privacy Policy Statement published at the following address. https://stripe.com/en-ca/privacy

In addition to the purposes listed in this Privacy Policy, we may share Personal Information with our trusted third party providers, who may be located in different jurisdictions across the world, for any of the following purposes: 

•  Hosting and operating our Site;
  
•  Providing you with our services, including providing a personalized display of our Site;
  
• Storing and processing such information on our behalf; 
  
• Serving you with advertisements and assist us in evaluating the success of our advertising campaigns and help us retarget any of our users;
  
• Providing you with marketing offers and promotional materials related to our Site and services; 
  
• Performing research, technical diagnostics or analytics;

We retain registration and medical information for the duration of a participant's enrollment in our programs plus 24 months, to support safety follow-up and program re-registration, unless you request earlier deletion or a longer period is required by law (for example, financial records required under tax law). Non-personal, aggregated usage information may be retained for longer periods for statistical purposes. We securely delete or anonymize Personal Information once it is no longer needed for these purposes.

We may rectify, replenish or remove incomplete or inaccurate information, at any time and at our own discretion.

We take great care in implementing and maintaining the security of the Site and your information. we employ industry standard procedures and policies to ensure the safety of the information we collect and retain, and prevent unauthorized use of any such information, and we require any third party to comply with similar security requirements, in accordance with this Privacy Policy. Although we take reasonable steps to safeguard information, we cannot be responsible for the acts of those who gain unauthorized access or abuse our Site, and we make no warranty, express, implied or otherwise, that we will prevent such access.

Some of our service providers (for example, our registration and payment processors) may store or process information outside of Canada, including in the United States. Where this occurs, your information becomes subject to the laws of that jurisdiction and may be accessible to its courts, law enforcement, and national security authorities. We take contractual and technical steps to require our service providers to protect your information to a standard comparable to Canadian privacy law.

We understand the importance of protecting children’s privacy, especially in an online environment. The Site is not designed for or directed at children, even though our services are. Under no circumstances shall we allow use of our services by minors without prior consent or authorization by a parent or legal guardian. We do not knowingly collect Personal Information from minors.
